Recommenations for very quiet extractor chimney for kitchen needed!

I HATE hob/cooker extractors as I hate the noise, especially in our dining kitchen. We are in the process of re fitting our kitchen and I would like a stainless steel chimney type extractor fan but would like it to be quiet? Am I reaching for the moon and there is no such thing.....unless I pay ££££££s?!

you can have one where the motor and fan are outside the house, with a duct going through the wall to the hood (can't find the link).

I think chimneys are a bit passé now, a canopy built to match a high wall cabinet is very popular and you can put a fan in it or buy an integrated unit that fits in a top-box

Have a look at the noise ratings in dB of whatever you look at. Contact Elica and ask for their glossy catalogue (their website is awful to search through.

I want a chimney as we are not having any wall cupboards ...it is a more industrial look.

right, something like this

There are some very powerful commercial ones, but I can't see one with a remote motor (I know they are used and have seen them listed before)
