Open day for flat/house sale

I want to sell my flat and the estate agents have arranged an open day for next weekend. Does anyone know how successful open days tend to be? Has anyone here received offers after an open day? Or did you find that the open day just generated interest (but no sale) and then you went onto individual viewings as normal?
My flat is in a popular area in south London if that makes a difference.

It must be a popular area/nice flat if they decided to do an open day.

We’ve been to a few recently. Tends to be offers by Monday noon. Then either one is agreed or it goes to best and final later in the week.

They tend to work best in very popular areas, and when the asking price is very competitive/on the low side.

Pricing optimistically in a stagnant market tends to produce a very poor response.

Therefore whether an open day is right depends a lot on your price expectations.

Thanks, that's encouraging. I'd be curious to know how many people generally do make an offer after an open house.

I'd say my flat is priced pretty competitively. And yes, it is a popular area. Although I think the Brexit deadline/insecurity may put people off making an offer.

It depends on how many viewings you’ll get. If you have 10+, then I’d expect you should get a mini bidding war going if the pricing is competitive.
