Hello, does anyone out there live in Poulton-le-fylde or close by? We are thinking of moving back up north and want to know what it is like in that area now. Thankyou!

My Mum and Dad live nearby in Thornton and Poulton is a lovely area with some great housing stock. It’s definitely one of the better areas in the north / central Fylde area.

My mum lives in carleton, lovely area, some of the surrounding towns have been having some issues with teenagers recently- maybe join their local Facebook pages?
Poulton-le-Fylde is lovely, nice shops, they are planning on building new houses in the area so not sure how the roads will cope but I think that's pretty much the same everywhere!

Live nearish thought it was a lovely wee market town when we visited!

I lived near all my life. It's classed as one of the nice, more expensive to live areas than the ones surrounding it. lots of new homes being built. Lots of places to go for meals, drinks, places near for kid activities (if that's what you need). Some good schools. On major bus routes.
Has issues with traffic, but the whole area does at the moment due to lots of roadworks causing road closures.

I work in the area and it’s nice. The town centre has “naice” shops including a Booths and the schools have a good reputation. Have a look at Lytham or St Anne’s too as they’re beautiful.
