Hi all, is it possible to sell a property with just the seller, seller’s solicitor, buyer and buyer’s solicitors?

Yes absolutely, the estate agent's role is really to market the property and find a buyer, they don't really do all that much thereafter in my experience. Good ones can act as a bit of a go-between and chaser-up-of-the-chain but it's not necessary at all. My parents sold their house without an agent - a neighbour knew they were looking to downsize and put a note through the door before it went on the market/instructed agents saying her daughter was interested, so they just showed her round themselves and agreed a price, then went straight to solicitors. Worked fine and saved my parents £££!

Yes! Ive just sold my old house to my son.
You need to each appoint a solicitor and they will get on with it.

The house I currently live in I purchased directly from the owner as well, again, each appointed a solicitor and they sorted it all out for us.
