Thinking of doing our kitchen. What are the key points to consider with design? What things are essential and what things do people wish they had done. The room is quite small, two doors one one each of the longer walls. Kitchen measures 7.5m x 4m.

Thank you, that will be interesting. Just trying to see what I can squeeze into the kitchen and what I can do without.

What do people think of using drawers more than cupboards especially for pans etc?

Definitely drawers as much as possible, but they are more exoensiv than a simple cupboard with a drawer. And avoid drawers inside a cupboard.
We've just designed a new kitchen and I was all "base units drawers only no cupboards"
Then I looked at contents of existing kitchen and realised that I've got some stuff which will be happier in a cupboard, so I've got a couple.
