Storage costs

Has anyone stored the contents of their house including all furniture for a few months?

Any ideas on cost would be helpful. It’s a three bed house.

Trying to work out how I can move on from a split 😥

Yes we did. Used Lock and Store. Usually you get a certain amount of weeks free or half price. Full price was around £350 a month, and it fitted a lot in!

You can get it much cheaper though if you can squeeze it into a smaller unit

That’s not so bad. Did they come and collect and pack it for you?

No unfortunately it's a DIY. They do hire vans by the hour though. I'd recommend you rope in as much help as possible as it is hard work. But once it's done you don't need to worry until you need to unpack it all again.

Contact your local storage places for quotes. They seem quite competitive with the offers.

You could also hire a moving company to help and ask for packing service too.

Thanks Glitter, that’s helpful. I’ll be on my own so will probably see what a removal firm can offer!
