Help with ideas for rendering our end terrace

Our house currently has pebbledash at the front and side of the house. The front is on its last legs-it’s only pebbledash at the top, exposed brick at the bottom. The side is protected my the neighbouring property (houses are divided by a alleyway/public walkway) so its in good condition. The side is pebbledash top to bottom (no exposed brick) The back has no render and some parts desperately need repointing.

So know you have the info here’s the dilemma. We hate pebbledash and would like to replace with k-render.

This is not our forever home but will be for the next few years. K-render is quite expensive so we’re reluctant to spend ££££ on getting the whole house done. We’re considering just rendering the front and back to solve the main issues (the repointing and the weathered pebbledash at the front).

Thinking of resale... would that put you off buying a house? Having the front and back k-render and the side pebbledash? The side of the house is barely visible from the outside. You can only see the side as you approach the gate to access the alleyway. We may consider rendering the side at a later date but for now we want to resolve the issues, that if left, could cause damage to our house.

I would use the render for back and front and leave the pebble dash. I would paint it the same colour as the render. At least it would then look homogeneous.

Like that idea. Thanks for replying
