We are currently considering making an offer on a house that would require a loft extension to make it work for us. It is a 1920s semi in South London. Are there any mumsnetters out there who have had this done? We did a loft extension of a 1920s terrace a few years ago and I remember the initial quote came in the low 40000s, but including all spec and decorating I think it came in at about 50k. So I would expect this to be more for a semi, especially because they would need to rebuild the roof quite significantly, I am just trying to work out by how much.
