Carpets and or lino

Heya.
I'm coming to the end of decorating after moving in late last year, so it's now time to decide on flooring.

After lots of searching I've come up with two design options but am dithering about which to choose.

One option is to have carpet in the lounge and bedroom and lino in lobby, bathroom and kitchen. This'll wipe out the savings I had to furnish my home.

The second option is to put lino down throughout which is obviously cheaper and'll leave me some money for some additional luxuries.
The disadvantage of this is that I have a lab so shedding hair and a health challenge mean that cleaning may not always be done as much as strictly needed.

Opinions please.

I'd go for the lino. We had a dog and ripped out all our carpets as he got older as accidents were becoming more frequent and lino is a hundred times easier to clean. Also it looks grubbier if you're not able to clean it, but sweeping and mopping gets it back to clean whereas I find carpets need regular hoovering and brushing with a squeegee to get the dog hair out otherwise it gets matted into it. Plus much less dog smell with carpet
