Hoping I’m posting in the right place..... I’m looking for advice on how to raise and discuss moving. We are moving to be close to the seaside and (hopefully) a quieter area. Our daughter is very keen at moving to be by the sea (thankfully!). We are now at the stage of putting our house on the market so need to sit down and discuss the move with our daughter. I know this will be hard for her (only child) and she will miss her friends terribly. I’m wondering on the best way to approach this with her. But also advice on settling in a new town!

My husband will be working but I’ll take a few months off to get out daughter settled. We are always open and honest with her about things and choices etc. Thanks for any tips/advice!

Hi, my son is 7 and we're moving to a different location too. I found this book very helpful as it's a workbook which we're going through together. It helps with any questions he has that I don't know how to answer and he loves things in it like the page where you have to draw your bedroom now and then how you'd like your new room to look.
It's helped a lot of children who have parents that are in the armed forces etc that move around a lot and have to make new friends etc. Hope it helps a bit Smile
