Is this reasonable?

We went to see a house this evening and we love it. We would like to put in an offer tomorrow when the office opens but we've just realised that we didn't really look at the kitchen closely enough, cupboard space etc. (First time buyers so think we just got too excited, rookie error!).

The EA told us there were 5 more viewings tomorrow eve, would it be cheeky to phone and ask to pop round again? I'm certain the house will sell very quickly so don't want to hang around!

It’s the biggest purchase of your life. Make sense to spend more time looking at a house that a coat/pair of shoes.

Just ring up and ask for a second viewing.

Do it, who spends thousands of pounds without being confident?
You also need to make a checklist of things you want to see before you go again to any other house

  • windows and door types (wood or plastic, single or double glazing)
  • signs of moisture
  • potential for extensions
  • etc.

If you can take someone u trusr with more experience, then do that

We looked round our current house 5 times before we put in an offer. I viewed it separately and loved it, DH cam to see it and loved it, we came together and had some concerns. We then saw some other properties and put offers in which were rejected. Came back another 2 times, including speaking to the neighbours.

We had made all the mistakes of not thinking clearly and carefully enough when we bought our first house together 11 years ago and #i wasn't about to make the same mistakes.

Ask for another viewing.

I would ask but be prepared they may say no if they've already had multiple offers.
when we was house hunting as first time buyers a few years ago, we loved a place then realised we didn't check something asked the EA the next day if we could look again later that day or the next they said they already had multiple offers at the "higher end" and wasn't prepared for second viewings at that time.
Really pissed me off tbh

I gave them a call and have managed to secure a second viewing this evening, if all goes well we will be making an offer over the phone and in writing. The market in this area is massively buoyant despite Brexit so it will be sstc by the end of the week at the latest so is incredibly hard to get a second viewing as a PP experienced.

It's crazy that they expect you to make such a huge decision after one viewing (which are always group viewings with a million other people as well!) Hope the fact were in a good situation helps our cause!
