Hi All,
I'm hoping that PigletJohn or another very helpful person may be able to assist me with my problem!! :)
My ex partner is a kitchen/bathroom fitter and he has fitted my main bathroom and kitchen which is all great ( I paid for his time) - he also laid a first fix of pipes for my en suite- water inlets, waste etc however we separated before it was finished.
I took on another builder three months ago to complete the work- new sink, new toilet and shower- which is now all finished- however unfortunately it seems there is now a leak from the sink waste and/or the sink waste pipe which runs behind the newly tiled shower!! ( its leaking into the downstairs toilet)
The builder is absolving himself of all responsibility and is blaming the first fix pipes- but surely he should have tested this and the sink waste before they put the stud-walls and plaster up?? Is there way to test the waste before you connect the sink and it is standard to do this??
Any advice/help is very much appreciated!
