Bathroom taps, brushed brass.

I can't decide if I should buy the most obvious, play safe and buy chrome for our bathroom taps or take a chance and buy Crosswater brushed brass taps, which I love. Has anyone had the brushed brass fitted? Do they tarnish in time and are they difficult to keep clean?
Also, the shower and enclosure will be chrome, will it look odd if it doesn't match?

Hello

Can’t comment on the durability of your taps but we went for brass in one bathroom.

I think it will look odd if you don’t have everything match - ours is all matching except the hinges on the loo and it drives me mad even though I am sure I am the only one that notices!

Brass is fine as long as you employ a housemaid to polish them three or four times a day, and scour the green stains off the sink.
