We are about 4-5 hours away so it's quite a big move!! I need some help though! Were nice to move to? Where's good for children to grow up? Where's not so nice to live? Hi I moved to East Devon 6 years ago and really like it here but it was a bit of a culture shock! I am childfree but friends with children consider it a good place for them to grow up, although they expect them to move away later as the employment prospects are limited. There is a fair bit of building going on but nothing like it is up country. There's always building-type work in demand everywhere though surely? I can't think of any 'not nice' places in Devon but North, Central and West can be more isolated/tumbleweed town compared with South/East Devon. But the latter is generally more expensive! Depends what you are looking for really! I love the outdoors life and playing sports/socialising and find Devon good for that :)
