Compton, West Berkshire Thoughts

We’re looking to move West Berkshire way and have found a house in Compton we like. However, don’t know the area very well and would just like to get peoples thoughts on it... Is it a nice village? Are there not so nice parts? Thanks!

Hi, I don’t know Compton very well but a friend has just moved there and it seems like a nice place- easy access to the A34 may make it a rat run in the rush hour? I used to live in Newbury and I don’t remember any bad stories or dramas about the village!!
