Winsford?

Hi, I have been reading some pretty negative stuff about Winsford, however seen a house we like and considering moving there around the Weaver Street area. I have two daughters - one starting year one in a school outside Knutsford so will stay there, and the other starting year 11 so considering college in Crewe or Manchester next year. I have looked at Crime stats and they dint seem that different to Northwich or Broadheath ( where we have lived before). I know is is not a Hale/Knutsford but it seems like it has potential? Would welcome hearing from people that live there or nearby, thanks!

It's a bit rough. It's ok though when compared to some other rough areas of the country.. good for commuting to Crew. It has just had a big new park in the middle and the red lion pub is the nicest from what I've heard/seen. The high street is depressing. I'd personally move to a surrounding area of northwich but you do get more for your money in winsford.

Crewe also bad. I'd apply for college in Manchester, or Sir John Deans in kingsmead, northwich is a very high achieving college. HTH
