Bedroom 4 — sleeping in a pod on top of an ikea malm dresser!

booellesmum · 30/08/2019 14:55

Wow

EntirelyAnonymised · 30/08/2019 14:57

It has been on for years and is truly the house that taste forgot. That boat scam has the house in the background of the pictures of the marina, I wonder if the scammer Myck whatsisface in the story was the home owner at one point? Possibly the one who had it repossessed as a result of his dodgy dealings?

TokyoSushi · 30/08/2019 14:59

ShockShockShock

@Dishingoutdone
The same pontoons I believe.

Sorrysorrysosorry · 30/08/2019 15:00

a dining room with an especially vulgar 18-seat Swarovski crystal table

Ha!

40 tonnes of sand- it would get everywhere!

doubleshotespresso · 30/08/2019 15:00

Christ on a bike it's like Hugh Hefner and Joan Rivers had a secret bolthole. It's a no from me-pretty hideous and so dark!

FAQs · 30/08/2019 15:00

I quite like it, it’s like a giant tree house Grin

DontCallMeShitley · 30/08/2019 15:04

Thanks OP, I am looking for a new house, need to save up though.

Mildura · 30/08/2019 15:06

He was

Mummyoflittledragon · 30/08/2019 15:07

The inside is pretty wow. But I’d not want to buy it even if I had the cash.

My immediate thought when I saw it was Grade II listed. I think someone needs a chip pan fire.

RosaWaiting · 30/08/2019 15:11

"You know when people say money cant buy you happiness, that's bollocks isnt it"

nearly spit my tea out laughing at that - so true! Grin

I hate house though. Imagine the beauty you could create with that amount of money. I wonder how much it costs to alter it all...

thecatsthecats · 30/08/2019 15:12

My aunt lives over the river from this place.

TBF, it's not as out of place as it looks, as there's lots of unique luxury builds along the river. Plus a population of local parakeets that make an absolute bloody racket. Bet that's why it's not selling Wink

berlinbabylon · 30/08/2019 15:13

I've got to say - if I had nearly £3 million to spend on a house it would not be that one. Yuck.

MatildaTheCat · 30/08/2019 15:14

It’s on a really busy road which gets horribly congested..I’m out

Asta19 · 30/08/2019 15:14

This has been my dream house for a long time now. If I won the Euromillions I would buy it with absolutely no hesitation.

If it comes to pass, I shall invite you all round for a beach party Grin

AlmostAJillSandwich · 30/08/2019 15:16

Looks ok from the outside at night, but other than that one pic, looks bloody horrible!

SisterFarAway · 30/08/2019 15:19

I could swear it was more than double that at the beginning of this year. I come past this house when I go to Hampton Court Palace and, to be honest, you could get a lot nicer properties in the borough for the same amount of money.

Mildura · 30/08/2019 15:20

I could swear it was more than double that at the beginning of this year

It started at £13,000,000.

Bluetrews25 · 30/08/2019 15:21

Feel a bit ill after looking at that!
It's all a bit Peter Stringfellow, isn't it? With those 'look up your skirt' clear stairs.
Well, it's a fixer-upper, ideal for a first time buyer not afraid of a bit shedload of DIY....

Disfordarkchocolate · 30/08/2019 15:22

I love the traditional parts, not the rest. Something to consider if I win the Euromillions.

Drogosnextwife · 30/08/2019 15:23

I love that! Couldn't be doing with the sand floors though, that would be hell on earth.

peachgreen · 30/08/2019 15:24

Goodness, I've driven past that chalet so many times and often wondered about it! How fascinating.

barryfromclareisfit · 30/08/2019 15:26

Seen it before. A bit overdone.
