I need to get new glazing on my lounge window. It's a very light room and currently has a design with one big window and a smaller top opener (attached is a photo. On the left you'll see my neighbour's style for comparison).
A year or so ago we replaced the upstairs window (directly above lounge) , which originally mirrored the lounge design, with a different design (two side openers) because I'm short and could not reach the original opener and because of ease of cleaning. Also, previous design meant you could not get out in case of a fire etc. I've attached a photo of this design but apologies as windows currently open due to heatwave!
So do I replace current window with its same design?
Pros: aesthetically pleasing as large window not broken into two
Cons: doesn't match upstairs, can't let as much air in
Or do I follow the upstairs (and neighbour's style) with two large openers
Pros: lets in more air, in line with upstairs window
Cons: breaks window into three
Easier for burglars?
