10 bathrooms, 9-car garage, parking for a 75' yacht, a full-size ice hockey rink. It's almost within walking distance of me, though I very definitely live on the other side of the tracks.

Only 4 bedrooms, though, so it might need some renovations.

The price works out to £11,000,000

Lovely views,

They do like a metal ball

Is that an inside pond?

HeronLanyon · 18/08/2019 05:13

Hmmm at the risk of sounding petty - extremely north facing - monstrosity being built next door it looks like. V close to sailing club. Waterfront could end up busy. Just too big and bling. Is that a themed hot tub ? Built 94 and it shows. Something half the size, older, more secluded with some trees and land would suit me Grin

nachosTrafficante · 18/08/2019 07:37

I wonder if that ever looked tasteful.? I mean for that much money...

wowfudge · 18/08/2019 07:40

Fantastic location, but my first thoughts were that the plant on the garage roof needs screening and the bins shouldn't be in that first photo. as for the interior: hideous and not homely. Someone must spend all day removing fingermarks from all the reflective surfaces.

Who needs their own ice hockey rink and that much parking but only 4 bedrooms? I'm guessing it was very much built for one persons specifications, almost guarantee a single guy.

VivaLeBeaver · 18/08/2019 07:59

Is Canada not cold? Am surprised at the outdoor pool!

Lwmommy · 18/08/2019 08:02

Why does it need 10 bathrooms? If there were 10 bedrooms it would kind of make sense but there are only 4.

Tonnerre · 18/08/2019 08:20

What's a partial bathroom?

Tonnerre · 18/08/2019 08:21

I'm afraid the chipmunks in the cinema would have to go.

Silvercatowner · 18/08/2019 08:38

Just too big and bling

That. We visit Ontario regularly and have stayed in some amazing, secluded lakefront properties (airbnb) that are 1000x more tasteful than that (albeit smaller).

CanadianJohn · 18/08/2019 13:16

In Canadian lingo, a full bathroom is 4 fixtures: toilet, sink, bath, shower. A partial (or half) bathroom is 2 fixtures, usually toilet and sink.

Flouncy, the Rogers Centre is in Toronto, about 240 miles away. The Cheshire house wouldn't suit me, not enough bathrooms.

wowfudge · 18/08/2019 18:08

That Cheshire house is incredibly tasteful. Not often I'd say that about multi million pound houses in that neck of the woods.

ICouldBeSomebodyYouKnow · 18/08/2019 20:04

flouncy it's surprisingly tasteful, but a bit white for me. on the other hand, that wine cellar might just swing it.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 19/08/2019 07:17

Eurgh the Ontario house looks like an Airport Departure lounge .

ByeByeMissAmericanPie · 19/08/2019 07:29

It’s the Cheshire house for me...

ByeByeMissAmericanPie · 19/08/2019 07:30

But am loving the transatlantic property one upmanship!

BogglesGoggles · 19/08/2019 07:33

How much would you have to spend fixing it yo though?

Mileysmiley · 19/08/2019 07:38

One of our friends has just built a glass fronted monstrosity , it is worth nearly a million and wouldn't pay that for it because it is an ugly house (it is painted grey with stainless steel window frames) I feel for his neighbours living next door to that.

I'm surprised no one apparently noticed the owner, or perhaps it's the agent, behind the outdoor bar.

Proof that money doesn't buy taste. It looks like a municipal swimming pool.
