hi hoping someone can help with this.

i had a new promenade Indian stone drive laid a couple weeks back, the paver said to clean it with acid to get the mortar stains off. it worked a treat at first, next day went to work came home and it started to go yellow, iv researched it and the acid has brought the iron deposits to the surface. so i bought some rob parkers best rust remover, applied it and it did a good job but after around a week 10 days it came back. please see before and after pics. anyone any ideas on what to do next? paver has been back thsi morning and has said hell speak with supplier of stone. any help appreciated. the first pic is after acid treatment, the second pic is a week after i used the rust removal. last pic is today

To me the “yellowing” in the pavers just looks like natural variation. Over time our sandstone patio colours have changed- although ours is more “colourful”.

I don’t think it’s wise to keep using chemicals on the stones. They are a natural product and any bright patches will subdue and blend in over time.

I’m not sure why your paver advised to use acid- we were expressly advised against it.

I have some Indian stone. It is very absorbent. It will probably get black spots on it too! Mine has. I would just leave it. It will weather and it doesn’t look that bad! Wait until you get black spots!
