Appliance tower

I want to have two single ovens and a 29cm warming drawer in a tower. The kitchen designer correctly said that this won't work as the warming drawer will be too low down.

So I am thinking of losing the warming drawer.

I don't want to have a smaller microwave oven as i want to be able to use both oven and microwave when we have guests which is almost every weekend.

Will I regret losing the drawers? Should I try and have a different configuration in order to have the warming drawer?

my warming drawer is low down and I would not be without it - it is one of best parts of my kitchen!

I have a combi oven ( i know that not what you what ) a single over and a very large warming drawer. The warming drawer is low down , but cant see the problem

I don’t see a problem with a low warming drawer.

I have a low warming drawer too. I wouldn't take it out of your plans, far too useful. I've never found bending to use it a problem

This is an alternative plan but I like the open space of the kitchen plan with the appliance tower

Is there anyway you could have the two ovens side by side at eye level? We have this.....it’s a game changer. Zero bending down for anything. So easy to function with them in that configuration - especially when you’re doing a lot of cooking, and have 4 -6 items on the go. Plus under each oven are pan drawers, although you could have a warming drawer under one of them.

@Henlie that's what's being shown in the second plan but I was thinking the first one loo

Sent before I finished

Does the second plan look ok? I thought the first one with the tower is better and it gives more work surface

Hi @Chopc, personally I think it looks fine, as you have the island to use as work surface/prep 😊. Have you chosen your ovens?

chopc · 13/08/2019 17:40

@Henlie -yes Neff Hide and Slide and Miele 62267BP and Miele Warming drawer

Thanks for everyone's input

We have two Miele ovens. They are brilliant. Can’t comment on Neff. Looks like you’ve done your research though 🙂
