Blinds for large window

I've a large window in my living room. 226cm wide and 2metres height. It's in 3 equal upvc windows panels with small opening windows at the top of each panel.

How can I best dress the window? I need some privacy as the road is busy, but it faces north so shutters are too dark. There are currently verticals in place that I HATE and am desperate to rip down.

Suggestions welcome. Colour palette is neutral beige, purpleish grey, yellow and teal, furniture is white with wooden laminate. I prefer a more modern/geometric type look, rather than florals etc.

I need to brighten the room as much as I can but have some privacy.

Help?!?

Tia x

In a previous house I had a tall, but quite narrow window, which faced north but was overlooked. I ripped down, with great joy, the horrible vertical blinds and replaced with a white painted wooden horizontal slatted blind. It let in more light than you might think, and I could angle the slats to make the most of the light while still ensuring privacy.

Thank you, that's reassuring re the light. I'm just slightly concerned that over 2m wide is a bit of a beast and it may look industrial, not homely. Maybe three blinds, one for each panel might work?

My window is even wider at nearly 4m, and I chose to have 2 blinds - pure white, wooden slatted ones to match the window frame. They look really smart, and let in a lot of light. I think 3 individual ones is probably the best way to go for you and would look good.

Yes, I think 3 blinds would work well.

Thanks all, I might try three blinds! @ChinUpChestOut do you have a link to the ones you've tried? Any issues with how the slats lined up between the blinds? It would drive me mad if they were uneven! Also did your blinds have the tapes you see on wooden ones?

Thank you! Soo many questions... it's my first big post divorce purchase for the house, so I really want to get it right! Xx
