Hi all, first post so go easy! Partner and I have been looking for our first home together for a while now. A couple of days ago a house that we saw sold a while back has come back on the market, however this time we are in a position to move forward on something. The earliest viewing we could get is Thursday evening due to work commitments, but the house is so lovely that we are now nervous that we may miss out. There is no chain and it ticks almost all boxes for us on paper. It all sort of happened out of nowhere as these things sometimes do, so we actually aren’t having a proper mortgage meeting until Friday. The company also offer telephone advice, so do you think I should rearrange for a telephone appointment earlier this week to be 100% certain we could move forward if we like what we see on Thursday? Or am I being over nervy and shall we just let be what will be?
Thanks!

Breath!

View the house, if you like it and put forward an offer it will be subject to survey anyway which takes time.

Worth asking why it fell through.

Then sort your mortgage and solicitor

Yes I would if you can. I would also try and see the property earlier than Thursday if it's good it may go, even if one of you can, hopefully you have some flexibility with work?? X

Thanks for replies so far.

House fell through twice before, once was people moving from south to north and decided to stay south, second time was a couple and the wife saw a newly listed house last minute that she fell in love with and had to make the choice.

I think I will definitely move my mortgage advice appointment to earlier for peace of mind and will try to see if an earlier viewing time could work. I think I’m being a bit precious but as it’s first time I would love him to come with me for viewings, however I have work flexibility and he does not unfortunately.

Quick update, managed to move mortgage advice appointment to 1pm today, also spoke to EA who has managed to squeeze us in for a viewing at 5:30 this evening. Fingers crossed all goes well.
