Kitchen colours

We have just knocked down a wall between the kitchen and diningroom. The main colours are going to grey and a purple/grey with purple splashback. I really want to an ochre accent somewhere - maybe even just a lamp or table mats. Would these colours work? Everything is going to be fairly plain apart from the blinds which are white with a grey pattern.

Do you have an example of the splash back and units to put up?

the kitchen units are white with silver handles and I have sold oak worktop. The splashback is perspex and covered in bubblewrap just now but it's not bright purple.

If the look is pleasing to your eye - then go for it, it's you living with it.
