Insurance Question

Abit of a conundrum regarding car insurance and moving house.

We are in the process of buying a house, at the stage of waiting for searches to come back and I expect to be moving somewhere around Oct/Nov (No chain involved on either side)

My car insurance renewal has just come through for 8th September.

I've just done a few comparison quotes and the current insurer comes out cheapest. However, when I've ran the quote on the new house address, they wouldn't even quote on it and therefore I presume that once we do move that they will cancel the insurance.

Any ideas what to do, given that I dont want to be messing around paying out for new policies at what will already be an expensive time?

Thanks

Ring them and speak to them. You are guessing why you couldn't get a quote at the new address.

Strange not to quote on the new area - is there something exceptionally risky about it?

Just a possibility- the computer programme may not like you trying more than one address, and so refuse to quote?

Is the new area known for danger/car theft/ accidents?!

I thought that was a possibility too Malvina
