Exchange before the end of August...

How likely would this be?
Mortgage in place, searches back and apparently being reviewed, survey done... what needs to happen now?

Have all enquiries been answered and returned ?

GoGoPowerRangers · 08/08/2019 16:46

No, apparently that's happening by then end of the week 🤞 vendors are very keen to sell and their solicitor seems very on the ball

It's certainly possible.

Assuming nothing in the enquiries causes an unexpected delay.

There is a great number of variables involved in buying a house, any one of which can delay things.

But no reason to think end of August is an unrealistic objective.

Is it a flat? Management pack (detailing service charges etc)? A house?
It should be fairly straightforward if your solicitor is happy with warrantees, planning permissions and other certificates as relevant.
You have to agree on a completion date and the solicitors will ask for the deposit a couple days in advance - once exchanged start packing!

GoGoPowerRangers · 08/08/2019 17:15

It's a house, freehold, no chain... I'm hoping it will all be fairly straightforward.

Certainly not looking forward to the packing!

Is there nothing else to sort once the enquires are back?

I’m in the exact position my self. All enquiries answered as of last week so not sure what’s the hold up is to be honest.

Watch out for people being away and not able to answer enquiries or sign things. I'd check who is taking holidays when. We got delayed by our solicitor going on paternity leave. Stuff happens!
