House next to an army cadet building

Is this a good or a bad thing? I'm seeing it as a good thing as I guess it won't be used that much and it's brick build so unlikely to change? Or at least would need planning permission to change and that can be fought.

I need something that will sell quickly if I need to.

What do you think?

I'd be most worried about it being sold off for development.

I used to live next to a sea cadet building. The marching band would practise up and down the street on Sunday morning. They would go on trips away and would block the road with the coach when loading up. The police came once when a group of kids were waiting for some of the cadets after a meeting and started a huge brawl. They got really annoying when some of the older cadets got a key and would hang out there on an evening - this turned into parties. So fine most of the time but occasionally very annoying.

People getting the keys and using in the evening sounds like a nightmare.

As I want something that will be easy to sell I might avoid this one. Although they would probably be better to live next to than asshole neighbours

They will do a lot of marching outside with a cadet officer barking orders 'left, right, about turn, halt''. Depends how often the meetings are but it could be quite irritating.

Cadets should never be allowed the key to a building. This situation as MissKittyCat describes does sound odd. If it did happen, just report it to the county HQ and the issue should be resolved sharpish. Cadets should not be allowed access to the building without an adult present.

All cadet activities normally end at or before 21:30, and sometimes instructors may be there until about 22:00, but we don't hang around if we can help it.
