Lots of questions about bathroom reno

We need to get our family bathroom redone and wondered if anyone was able to offer any advice. Not done a big job like this before so a bit of a novice.

The whole thing will be completely stripped out and refitted, same configuration but essentially will be a blank canvas. It's a 4 piece bathroom (if that's what they're called) with toilet, sink, bath and separate shower.

I've got a few questions from those of you that have had a bathroom refitted

  1. how long did your bathroom refurb take?
  2. is it a really messy/dust process that effects other areas of house? In which case do you have any advice for containing dust/debris?
  3. did you use one bathroom fitter who organised everything or did you organise separate trades yourself?
  4. do you recommend anywhere to get bathroom supplies? Eg. Soak? Victoria plumb? Good old B&Q etc
  5. how much did your refurb cost? (If you don't mind telling me that part!)
  6. any other advise that you may have learnt along the way?

Oh and I'd love to see pics of bathrooms for inspo if anyone was happy to do that (realise most will not want to though so that's ok Smile)

Thanks
