10 seater dining table - not extending

We are doing a kitchen/diner renovation and the large diner area means we would comfortably fit a 10 seater table. I want to find one that is fixed rather than extends to 10 but am struggling.

I would like a rectangle, preferably with no legs in the way at each end. I'd like rustic wood but not farmhouse style although the kitchen is shaker.

Does anyone have any good suppliers? I saw once on here that someone had one made to order but can't find it again. Budget is only around £1500.

have you had a look on ebay theres companies that sell new as well as second hand and you would be able to refine your search

I’d just say that unless you have a large family, it might feel massive day to day. We’ve got a table seating 8 (that also extends further) but it feels too big to eat at unless we have guests over.

We just sit at one end of our table JoJo, I never even think about it. Can seat 10 and then extends to 16

The space the dining table sits within is 9.7m long and there is a space 3.6m to the kitchen and a wall on part of that length.

My DH made the table I’m afraid. We manage to put 18 on it at Xmas, after that the garden table gets tagged on!

I feel like we’re at one end of a big canteen table when we’re at ours.

The websites I think are worth a look would be Maisons du Monde, Graham and Greene and Wayfair. Oka will most likely have something suitable and lovely but the budget would need to go up.

Look at Etsy as well as you can get bespoke sizes very reasonably on there.

A company called Raw furniture we found online made ours to measure. There's loads online though.

Barker and Stonehouse San Quentin Tahoe or Lyell (reclaimed wood) range. Beautiful.

There is a place outside Stratford that makes tables, not all of them are farmhouse - countrylife furniture and they can make it to the size you want.

Barker ans Stonehouse do large non extending tables. Generally good stuff.

Got mine from a local oak shop, seats 8 extending to 12 but they sold fixed longer ones. Mine was £1200
