We are moving home after a long time here. I've made a list of address changes to make, scheduled moving TV/Broadband, made a list of things to do on completion day (like meter readings etc).
Please pour in your wisdom ! If there is anything that can help, please share.

My regular cleaner will clean the house after we move out. I will leave some toilet paper and handwash in the bathrooms. The oven is fine. Garden will have a good cut and tidy up before we move out . I plan to get a nice card for our buyers. Is there anything else I can do for them?

I left a list of useful things like what day was "bin day" etc.

Sounds like you have done a lot more than my last seller did- the place was filthy when I moved in!

If you're leaving any built in appliances leave all the manuals together in a ring binder in the kitchen, along with the manual for the boiler and the paperwork from when you last had it serviced. When we last moved the vendors had the oven professionally cleaned for us which was absolutely lovely but I'm not sure I'd go that far!

Good luck! Hope your move goes well.

We're in the middle of moving too... Maybe takeaway menus? Unless you're staying local and will still need them.

OK, for your buyer I would leave a nice card wishing them happiness in their new home. For the move I always make sure each box is clesarly labelled with a room "number" then in the new house I post-it each room with the corresponding number so the removals people have no confusion. I also put anything precious in my own car. Finally, I always have a box wioth the kettle, T bags, coffee a selection of mugs and some milk and sugar so you can have a brew when the stuff is in. There is nothing like sitting on a sofa in a new home supping tea and planning décor!
