New windows - this doesn't bode well does it

Just starting the process of getting quotes for the whole house. Wanted to get one quote from a national company just for comparison so the Safestyle Guy was meant to come tonight. Due 6.30 so I left work early.

Got a call to say running a bit late - fine, this happens. Still not here, half an hour after he said would be the latest.

It's not feeling me with joy. And I'm hungry as I waited.

Any comments on Safestyle? Some horror stories on line but less than other nationals. I suspect I'll use a local firm but I am being gifted the funds so did want to shop around a bit.....

Being super late would bother me, more so if they didn't give you a heads up. Try getting quotes elsewhere.

Safe style quoted 13k for 6 windows and a back door

Local company did it for 3500

Safestyle also said if you book today we will do it for 8k😂😂

They will ring head office in front of you and try to get you a 'special deal'

Ask for recommendations of local companies on a local Facebook page.

My friend had lots of horror stories with safestyle. It took them longer than they said to complete the windows and she had to take lots of time off work. Afterwards, there were lots of snags and it took almost 6 months for them to rectify them. After the installation, they no longer made her a priority and they were making appointments and either not turning up or not bringing the right equipment, etc.
When they finished eventually, the windows were brilliant but with the stress she had to go through, it was not worth the hassle.

I'd use the lateness to cancel the appointment. Then use a local firm instead not a hard-sell type

Avoid, they basically know very little about Windows they are just there to work out how much money they can get out of you! Ours spent ages messing with his laptop and eventually came up with 12k or something silly, then when i was like wtf immediately he said they could do it for 6k or something, by that time i lost interest and spent the rest of the time trying to work out how to get him out of the house

Another who had them to quote, and got all that 'let me just speak to my manager to see if I can get you a better price' nonsense. We went with a local company.

I can't be doing with companies that quite you £12k,,then if you dither say they can do it for £8k.
They're basically admitting that they were willing to rip you off by £4k
