Hi all,

Would like a sense check of this quote to fit a kitchen. I've been quoted 4K to fit our 3m * 5m kitchen and 1.35K for electrician.

The kitchen is from Howdens and includes 15 units along with appliances such as hob, integrated oven and microwave , extractor and dishwasher.

Works included in the 4K quote include-
Remove old units
Remove a radiator and pipes.
Knock off small storage room wall within kitchen
Remove wallpaper, plaster and paint walls + ceiling.
Remove flooring and install luxury vinyl tiles including skirting.
Fit new kitchen including plumbing
Gas certificate
Fit external door
Large skip hire

Electrical quote includes-

Fit 10 way rcbo consumer unit with SPD
earth bonding to water/gas stop tap
Lower light switch for kitchen light
Four double sockets
Four switched fused spurs
Cooker circuit
Centralise kitchen light and 1 extra light (yourselves to supply lights)
Security light high level with PIR
porch light with PIR
Supply all necessary certificates if anything doesn't comply whilst we carryout the testing we will inform you of additional costs.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

I'm in the midst of having a new Howdens kitchen fitted. 14 units. Joiner is charging £2750, electrician is charging £1100 and plasterer charged £1100 to remove the old kitchen and also the pantry, make good, take up the tiled floor, remove all debris etc. I'm in Yorkshire.

We wanted a new kitchen but fitting was extortionate and often electricians and tilers were separate. The fitting cost was almost the same as the cupboards. In the end we spruced up our kitchen for just under 1k and it's a vast improvement.

Sounds good to me.

Thanks for the reply. Doesn't sound far off then.
