Hi everyone, I am looking at getting a new bathroom but literally don't have a clue where to start with it so would like some inspiration!! I have a very small bathroom but just love these patterned floor tiles that seem to be in atm! I would be very grateful if you would show me some pictures of your bathrooms to give me some ideas plus if you have any tips on the best quality/price to buy from Grin

Did ours a couple of months ago. Bought from a local showroom who also did the fitting. Roca loo, sink and vanity unit. Vado shower/handset, taps, loo roll holder and towel hook. Shower tray/enclosure from The Shower Lab. Lighting from Industville and illuminated mirror with de-mister from Roca. Fitting was £6800 + VAT, which included everything except the bathroom fittings, so, ripping out old bathroom, skip hire, electrics, new plumbing (including re-site of toilet), floor joists, waterproofing, complete re-plaster, decorating, new skirting, door frame and window sill, celing fan. Would also have included ceiling spot lights but I didnt want them. The fittings (including tiles, radiator, etc) came in at £5485 (trade price so no VAT). Fitting seems expensive but the work took almost 3 weeks with various trades and what few snags there has been have been dealt with promptly. I was quoted over £8000 + VAT with another local supplier and that didn't include decorating, tiling, plastering or electrics!

Ooh are they original old fittings poo? Something of a deco look to them. I love that you’ve got lots of natural light but a window over the bath? Is there room for a desperate shower?

Loved these

My bathroom was too big a space for these tiles, so I just did then as an edging, but they’d look fab in a smaller bathroom

@Aebj - that bathroom is so Housing Association circa 1983! It's almost a classic!

Auntpetunia2015 · 03/08/2019 11:10

tomboy that bathroom is the size of my living room!

tomboytown · 03/08/2019 11:20

I know! It’s ridiculously big, which brought challenges of its own. But also why I thought to make a big deal of, it’s my forever house, I don’t expect to be redoing it ever again!

PooWillyBumBum · 03/08/2019 11:32

@Auntpetunia2015 they are 50s I think. There is an original 50s kitchen there.

Unfortunately no room for separate shower which will suck as our current bathroom is massive! But the rest of the house makes up for it and it’s detached on a wide plot so there is loads of scope for extension in future. Pics of hilarious original kitchen and appliances. We will also have Bakelite light fittings and a 65 year old boiler. Eep.

@tomboytown please can I come live with you?? That bathroom is the bathroom of dreams!

I have to put up with green carpet, pink textured wallpaper and an aqua bath tub and sink 😭

tomboytown · 03/08/2019 12:00

Thank you
Even when I walk past it it brings me pleasure!

popsadaisy · 03/08/2019 13:42

@BirthdayKake your bathroom has the exact same layout as mine and same size by the looks of things! Can I ask how much it cost to do?

tomboy You have a beautiful bathroom. The space and design. Our bathrooms is 6ft by 6ft - barely any space between bath tub, toilet and sink.

areyoubeingserviced · 03/08/2019 21:33

I have serious bathroom envy
