Hi all

I am at the stage of planning a loft extension. We are looking at rear former extension and want bedroom, en-suite and some sort of walk in wardrobe/dressing area

I've done Pinterest to death ! Has anyone done anything similar and have layout plans or any tips so we don't make mistakes!!!

I like this as if someone wants to use the walk in wardrobe for another purpose in the future, they can

Thanks @chopc How are you doing the walk in wardrobe are you going to partition with a wall? Our staircase opens in middle of the room so making the layout a bit tricky to plan!

Unsure - I think so

Do you live in a "one off" type of house, or in a road of similar houses?
If the latter, have a walk around your area playing "spot the velux"
Note the addresses of local houses with loft extensions and look up the plans on Council planning website.
If you're feeling bold, pop a note through doors of houses that have done similar to what you want. Many people will be happy to show off their extensions
