It’s haunted apparently ShockGrin

PinkysEars · 29/07/2019 20:38

Assuming I had the money to do it up and the price reflected the issues it currently has, then yes.

However, it looks like the current incumbent may not be interested in selling/allowing a sale and that might worry me.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 29/07/2019 20:40

If I was looking for a project in that area and thought it was a fair price then yes.

But I don't want a project and have no idea if it's suitably priced. So no.

reefedsail · 29/07/2019 20:40

Nope, not on your nellie. Grin

PinkysEars · 29/07/2019 20:40

The signs on the front of the house are odd. There are so many and they're oddly situated too.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 29/07/2019 20:41

Nowhere to park.

Innertwist · 29/07/2019 20:42

Poor estate agent. Confused

OP posts:
PickAChew · 29/07/2019 20:44

Not at that price. It would cost more to fix up than the value you would add.

And not for a family because it's really tiny.

Hotterthanahotthing · 29/07/2019 20:45

If I was a builder and the price reflected the amount of work that needed doing and I wanted to live there then yes.It depends ,is this ayour way onto the property ladder,if you get it into better order is it somewhere that would sell easily.
I bought a house, not obviously as bad and spent a while making it livable and a bit longer making it nice.

HappyHammy · 29/07/2019 20:47

no, it's a new house and in a complete state.

Bunnybigears · 29/07/2019 20:48

No. I haven't got the time or the inclination to do a house up.

Innertwist · 29/07/2019 20:54

pinkysears do you think that's why the vendor insisted it being mentioned?

OP posts:
MrsBertBibby · 29/07/2019 20:55

What a tip! If I liked doing places up I might offer a LOT less than the ap, but you could barely live in that until the kitchen and bathroom were done. Hideous state.

Innertwist · 29/07/2019 20:57

It's not the mess that's bothering me - it's the other thing mentioned. Shock

OP posts:
PinkCrayon · 29/07/2019 20:58

No way

Redglitter · 29/07/2019 20:59

No self respecting ghost would go near the place!

AGENTSNOTESItems depicted in the photographs are not necessarily included in the sale. The vendor of this property has notified the agency that, in his opinion, the property is haunted

Vendor is cray

hadthesnip2 · 29/07/2019 21:15

Re haunted- I expect the property is tenanted or tied & the tenant is being forced out.

The place is a right tip (bicycle in the bath...wtf ?) & needs a lot doing to it.....but its in a great position (especially if you like playing golf) and bloody cheap too.

It supposedly being hunted wouldnt bother me as I dont believe in all that malarkey.

Pipandmum · 29/07/2019 21:15

I think the agent has to mention anything that might materially affect the house’s value.
The most recent sale was for £133k in that road. I think this house would cost more than £40k to do up to a reasonable standard. So no, it wouldn’t make financial sense unless they would except a very low offer.

SeeSomethingSaySomething · 29/07/2019 21:18

Well, in comparison to other properties it seems to be overpriced. The photos are awful. The vendor had gone out of their way to show they’d be difficult.

I don’t think they really want to sell.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 29/07/2019 21:19

If it is tenanted then the landlord should be fucking ashamed of himself.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 29/07/2019 21:20

Or herself.

Innertwist · 29/07/2019 21:21

But it's the vendor saying it's haunted not a tenant hadthesnip2

I'm with Bobtheduvet - why?
