Hi all,
We are looking for a rental (from mid Aug) and found a property we liked.

Property 1: Its on for £1700 PCM . We have a small child and we'd ideally like to have a garden. This property is a end-of-terrace but has no garden. Available from 1 Aug

Property 2: This is in the same development as property 1 but its Terraced (exactly same room sizes) and its on for £1630 pcm. Available from mid sept. If we go for this, we'll have to stay with inlaws for a month (they are fine, but id like to avoid this if possible)

Property 3: Older detached house with slightly smaller bedroom sizes. Available now.

How much would you offer for property 1?

I think the rental price is the rental price, not usually open to negotiation? Could be wrong on this but certainly not usually round these parts.

Rental prices aren't usually negotiable in the uk

I would be looking for one with with a garden. This would be non negotiable for me with children.
If not I would go for whatever one you could afford and suits you.

I've successfully negotiated rents in the past - but mainly where the landlord is keen to get someone in, such as shorter term lets while they get planning permission for major work etc.

I offered 10% lower and got it.
