Have to move, but don't want to - give me hope?

For various reasons we have to move away from where we live now. I had thought this was my forever home, (lived here 15 years), and have invested time and effort into getting the house and garden how I want it. I know that I am not someone that copes with change at the best of times, and I have a lot going on in my life anyway, but I am struggling to put a game face on this all. The Estate Agent has just been to measure up and it was all I could do not to cry.

It's not even got to buyers remorse yet as I am in seller's remorse.

I can't be alone in feeling this way about a move - can anyone give me positive stories as to how they coped?

Focus on why you have to move. That might help you with rationalising the move.

And you never know, you just might find a lovely-tag-at-your-heartstings-house that you can then make your next forever home.

I was where you are in November last year.

Circumstances caught up with us and we needed to move from the house we had been in for 10 years. We'd done so much work to it, it was opposite our dc school etc.

We got through it by focusing on all the good things the move would bring - financial security, more free time, less chaotic lives.

Is there anything along those lines which a move will give you op? Also, no home is a forever home, life is about making choices when situation change. This could be a new beginning for you, the start of exciting times.
