Wish my front door looked that good. Unbelievable mirror finish..

I saw a documentary snippet about that very front door. It has 10 coats of paint and is polished to a gleam on every single coat to take it to that level of shine. It takes weeks and costs many multiples of the price of an ordinary door to achieve

...and you never see them painting it, because they take it off and rehang a spare door which has already been painted.

It has no doorknob or keyhole and cannot be opened from outside.

It does rather outshine him, doesn't it?

Is it definitely wood not metal? Thought they'd put metal door in for security? I'll have a google..

I noticed this too OP but I have a thing for shiny black front doors.
I've recently bought some stuff to buff up my black composite door and was delighted with the result.
Not quite up to No. 10's standard, but looks better than it did.
Owatrol colour renovator/cleaner if anyone's interested.

I think that's a door "pull" rather than an actual door knob Dobby.
It's just used to pull the door shut or push it open once the minion inside has opened it!
