Hi - we are considering a move to Worthing/Goring by Sea and wondered if anyone had made the move/lives there and could share what it was like for them - i've looked at a number of previous threads but they're all a few years old. We have young children so interested in schools, what it's like for families etc

That’s great thanks, I’ll have a read through it this morning

Have you been to Worthing OP?

I like it as a town, MIL used to live there in a quite nice central street just off the beach, some of the outskirts bits look like they maybe should be avoided. Schools seem to be OK from what friends say.

Yes I have visited a couple of times and have family that live nearby but interested in others opinions of the area, we liked what we saw when we were there but obviously only see a snapshot when visiting for the day.

That’s where you can find out about schools. Probably best to search by ‘parliamentary constituency’ to get an overview of what primaries and secondaries are like.

I just had a quick peek and there are some ok schools. Better than some parts of the country but if you’re moving from, say, one of the high achieving London boroughs, then you might not be impressed.

I live in the Goring area of Worthing and have been in my house for 11 years, grow up round here as a teenager as well - feel free to ask any questions 😁
