Hello,
Due to my work, I am moving from France to the UK, Kent, Dungeness. I did a lot of research where to live (places like canterbury, rye, Hythe, New Romney, Sandgate, Ashford) but still, I am looking out for valuable inputs. Could you please give your suggestions. I am looking for a healthy community, pubs, activities for youngsters and a safe place to roam around.

What age are the youngsters? The only input I’d like to make it that Kent is a real problem when it comes to secondary schools. You either get into an academically selective grammar or you end up somewhere that’s likely to be dire with barely and students passing GCSEs.

Lived in Folkestone with a young family for a few years after moving from a big city and we absolutely love it. Still feel like we have barely scratched the surface in terms of things to do. Feel happy to let the kids be independent and v pleased with schools. We previously lived in a super competitive Grammar area and it seems a lot less intense here in terms of tutoring and prepping.
