Is it difficult to change a damaged dishwasher hose?

The make is Beko if relevant and I have tried google but still not absolutely sure I have what it takes!
But it’s a case of paying for an £8 hose or £105 for someone else to do it.

I am also trying to find a way to protect our plastic hoses as our tenants have had rodents twice bite holes in them despite 2 visits from pest control .

Pull the dihwasher out from the wall, and tip it onto its back (never the front). I think you will find the grey waste tube attaches to the pump, or near it. If you can find the model numer

On a Bosch machine the model (E.Nr) and factory date code (FD Nr.) which are engraved on the top edge of the door (visible when you open it, unless you have brillo'd them off) you can look up the parts diagram on the Bosch website, which will show you how it is attached. I don't know if Beko are the same. But I bet the method of manufacture will be very similar, if not identical.

Some of these pumps seem to have a white plastic spigot on the side, you will probably find the remains of the old one on yours.

Buy a stainless-steel Jubilee Hose Clip on Ebay, it will be better than the factory hose. Measure the diameter of the hose first. As soon as you see it you will know how it is used.

depending on age and design, you may not have to remove as much tinware to get at the hose. Beko are sometimes copies of older models, I don't know if yours will have the flood tray underneath.

I did watch the videos and thank you all so much .
I have had a tiny moment of happiness when the grey collar agreed to come out a little bit but it is determined to stay on the hose and won’t let me push it further down to give me more hose to work with. I am on the verge of giving up unless it can be released - at the moment I feel like just hitting it all with a hammer I don’t even have

They screw/plunge in. Easy!

In fact I just prised it off and it doesn’t give me a great deal more to work with but I’ll see...

I made it and wouldn’t have without your support!
(I realised the end of the new tube that looked too big was actually the bit the clip was meant to go on as was the only flexible bit so I tightened it quite nicely once realised to move it up to the end)
I have now pressed ‘start’ and am waiting expectantly for some water noise but the programme goes straight to dry Sad

Sorry, but I don't believe you have fitted it correctly. You need to tip it over and look at the bottom.

If it won't fill, this may be because it has a flood detector in the baseplate (see video) presumably reacting to the damaged waste hose.

Thank you for your amazing patience . It does now run well on certain programmes but leaks where I attached the hose ! I tried undoing the clip and reattaching and still no joy and had to leave a note on it not to be used .
