Larch wood cladding

Has anyone got it on their extension? We’re considering using it but builders have been turning their nose up saying it’s expensive, it warps, it needs maintenance etc! Cement board has been suggested, any other alternatives?

We’re going for this russwood.co.uk/exteriors/cladding/siberian-larch/ with a sioox coating on our self build but I’d be interested to hear if other people have opinions?

My whole house is clad in larch wood, it is a thatched barn conversion, and has stood the test of time as it's been here since 1948.

I won't lie, it has curled in places, but adds to the charm of the building!
