Adding an internal wall

The house I’m buying has a bedroom that leads through to a bedroom - so I want to put a corridor in... question is two fold

  1. would you rather lose space in a bedroom or bathroom to create a corridor (both are adequate)
  2. anyone know if you need an architect/building regs just to add a simple dividing internal wall?

Yes, I would put a corridor in if the bedroom it runs through is big enough.

You don't need building regulations for a stud wall being put in place but if you are thinking of relocating a bathroom into that room (as per your OP) then you would need building control approval for that.

Thanks for that! Just to clarify I won’t be moving the bathroom, I just have a choice of adding the corridor to the ‘through’ bedroom through either the first bedroom or the bathroom which is next to it... was tending to think I’d create through the bedroom rather than bathroom as you say...

Thanks for replying!
