I’ve been reading a lot of carpet threads on here but mostly from a couple of years ago so I’m wondering if anyone has any recent advice..
planning to carpet stairs and upstairs landing too at some point but as we are getting new bed delivered soon I want to get bedroom done quickly (unless anyone thinks it’s possible to carpet floor around a double bed?! I don’t want to have to take bed out of room as it’s got an upholstered headboard attached and don’t want to damage it!)
So anyway, on a very limited budget as it’s our first house and have a lot to do, so I want best possible value! I’d love to just order from John Lewis for convenience but I have a feeling I could get cheaper if I buy the carpet online eg ebay, and the underlay online and then use a local fitter? Has anyone done this and would anyone recommend a particular online supplier? I’m looking for a warm grey. Planning to stay in this house for a long time so hoping it’ll last!!
