We recently had a couple of small leaks from our victorian roof so asked for roofing contractors to quote for repair and possible replacement.
One contractor has said don't waste your money on a new roof as the slates themselves are fine, but others have said you need to replace the whole thing...
One neighbour has had their roof done & it does LOOK a lot better...
Anyone have any thoughts on this? Can a slate roof last more than 100 years???
