Got my bathroom done up quite a while ago and just now managed to get he plastering sorted. I know I should have done that first!

He's just finished putting in on and has pooped away for an hour while it dries before he does whatever he does next 🤷‍♀️

But... look at it. Surely once it dries, I'm not going to be able to get this off my tiles and ceiling, etc?? Am I missing something?

the tiles down the side a small sharp bladed scraper will get that off the ceiling i would just paint over it

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/07/2019 16:09

Well he hasn’t finished yet so hopefully he will tidy it for you. Have you used him before.

pooped away for an hour

Lucky you!! Is he being paid for that?

Totallyplastered · 06/07/2019 16:16

Oh dear Blush Sorry about that! Grin

I haven't used him, but a few family members have and have been happy with his work, but none of it involved bathroom tiles.

It will take a few days - a week to dry properly. A damp sponge or cloth will get it off today with a bit of elbow grease.

But he should be doing that.

Saying that, my plasterer splattered plaster all up the window and looked very shocked when I gave him a cloth to sort it.

That’s because it’s womens work little. Our tiler messed up our toilet flush, I had to fix it using a YouTube video.

Has he come back yet?.

Totallyplastered · 06/07/2019 17:39

He's been back and finished now. Not as bad as I imagined. He got rid of the bits I was panicking about and did some clean up. I just need to to properly clean it now and try and get the crumby bits out the back of the cistern and the orange tinge out my grout 😭, but was definitely imagining worse!

Oh good, mid way through any job looks awful.

LittleLongDog · 06/07/2019 20:11

@Fluffycloudland77 he also asked me to make him an omelette as he started the job one day so I suspect you are right!

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/07/2019 20:13

Ouch. That must have stung.

LittleLongDog · 06/07/2019 22:08

Tea and biscuits for workmen = no problem.

Making a cheese omelette for a messy plasterer who spent the whole morning farting... no. Just no.
