Baxi Bermuda 401

We’re doing up a house with a Baxi Bermuda 401. I’m nearly 30 and have not a bloody clue what to do with it. I just want to stick a radiator cover over it and pretend it doesn’t exist? I have no other ideas as we can’t afford to change the boiler and the fire/boiler are all one apparently. Does anyone have any other amazing ideas? What have you done with your ugly fires?

I imagine that as long as you allow for ventilation there is no reason not to hide it for now, just make sure it's easy to access for servicing (I'm assuming you've had it checked out already by a Gas Safe engineer). I'll be honest though, you're better off replacing with a combi boiler now if you can, and saving money elsewhere.

I'm sure I've read on here that back boilers aren't very efficient compared with modern alternatives.

We've just got our table pushed up against ours, longways. The fire is hidden behind the base of the table but it still has plenty of ventilation. It's a workhorse - been going forever, built like a tank. Not very efficient but it's a small house so it's ok!
