Perfect PINK paint - anyone?!

Daughter wants a pink room, but I don't like pink.

I do however like the colour that's on this wall in this pic!

Anyone got any recommendations for a paint colour similar in style /colour to this?

Farrow and Ball Peignoir is similar, slightly more lilac/grey.

moreismore · 04/07/2019 21:42

Or farrow and ball calomine? There was a thread about pink paint recently...

JaneJeffer · 04/07/2019 21:44

Don't do it!

TokyoSushi · 04/07/2019 21:44

DD has a wall like this, it's called Kyoto and is from B&Q's own range, it's actually lovely!

CoastalWave · 04/07/2019 21:48

ooh thank you all

@JaneJeffer - why not?!

Farrow and Ball Peignoir is very similar. Had it in our DD’s room...gorgeous.

Spanglybangles · 04/07/2019 21:53

She even has that feathery light shade.

This is quite nice and subtle

JaneJeffer · 04/07/2019 21:55

I had a pink in one of the rooms and I hated it as soon as it was done but had to put up with it for a few years so I'm biased!

Great white by farrow and ball. It’s described as more lavender, but def has pinky grey tones to my eyes. Google it. I don’t know how to do the photo but I’m afraid.

CoastalWave · 05/07/2019 13:08

Brilliant thank you. Just had a look at all of those and LOVE Great White!

We have Dulux pink blush (as well as polished pebble grey) in our hallway it's a very light pink and we plan on using it again at our next house. A couple of pics from when we moved in.

Beautician that's gorgeous.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 06/07/2019 15:55

Thanks @flirtygirl I love it. The correct name is Dulux Blush Pink. We did originally want a different colour but this was in stock and the painter picked it up instead.

Cataline · 06/07/2019 15:58

Dulux pink blush is gorgeous. I'm going to use it in my hallway.
It's also very subtle. I painted a fair size tester patch on one wall and the boys in the house didn't even notice! (That perhaps tells you more about their lack of awareness than the subtlety of the paint though! Grin)

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 06/07/2019 16:04

@Cataline that's why I like it so much. It's very subtle but I'm outnumbered with 5 males in the house so I needed a little pink somewhere.

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/07/2019 16:06

Farrow & Ball do a sulking room pink, it’s halfway between peignoir and calamine.

I love it purely for the name. But it’s subtly grown up enough that it can grow with her.

FenellaMaxwell · 06/07/2019 16:08

Dulux blossom white is quite subtle

mycatisblack · 06/07/2019 16:08

I had a pink mixed for the outside of my house to match Farrow and Ball's Middleton pink. Very light soft pink.

whitehalleve · 06/07/2019 16:08

We have Dulux satin bow, it looks just like your pic.

EgremontRusset · 06/07/2019 16:10

F&b calamine has a grey tint and looks grown up and non-sugary in our bathroom

Widowodiw · 06/07/2019 16:10

Dulux blush pink I have it in my bedroom

Neilsfavouritechilli · 06/07/2019 20:32

Reading with interest, I want a soft pink for my little home office to go well with my white furniture in there. These recommendations look perfect.

NuffingChora · 06/07/2019 21:32

Sulking Room Pink is a beautiful colour (we’ve used it!) but it’s MUCH darker than either peignoir or calamine, makes much more of a statement, so may not be what OP is after...

diaduittoyou · 06/07/2019 21:46

I've used dulux soft stone in a silk finish a few times before and love it. Might be a bit too dark for you though?
