Composite front door

Hoping someone can help me find a composite front door with a specific handle.

I want to avoid having a shut to lock door as I am a nightmare for locking my keys in the house. I have visited a house through work that had a modern composite front door with a vertical bar handle that you pushed to open the door. It's a bit like the horizontal bars you push on emergency exits but vertical (and nice looking)!

I have seen lots of composite doors with vertical bar handles that are just to pull the door shut which are fitted with a shut to lock but can't find one with a handle that you can push to open the door.

Has anyone seen or got one of these? I'm sure I haven't imagined it!

Or any other recommendations for composite front doors?

Not sure I'm understanding this OP.
Surely, if you just push a bar to open the door, anyone could walk in by doing the same?
My composite door has a normal handle and a key which you use to lock the door.
If you've gone out without keys, you'd know as soon as you got to front door as you wouldn't have anything to lock it with.

Mine is the same as Wingedharpy. I need a key to lock the door. It's a composite door which was only installed a year or two ago.

You need one fitted with a mortice lock. You need a key to actually lock it when you go out. Unlike a Yale type lock which locks on closing the door.

Sorry if it's confusing! All the doors I've seen with the nice bar handle have had a lock that locks as soon as you close the door without having to turn the key. We've just moved to a house with an old front door with this type of lock and I have left my keys inside and locked myself out twice already. So yes, basically I'm looking for a lock that you actually have to lock with a key when you leave the house if that makes sense?

I've just seen this one that I liked where once you actually unlock the door you push the bar handle back and it opens the latch bolt to open the door. Similar to when you push down a lever handle and it opens the latch bolt. Unfortunately not found anywhere that sells it.

Cant you get the barrel changed on your existing door to one that requires a key to lock?

My composit door doesn't lock behind you. You have to put a key in the door to physically lock it. It says iseo on the lock if that helps.

Thanks bubbles I think mortice lock is the term I'm looking for.

It's a mortice lock that's operated by a bar handle that I'm looking for but endless googling suggests it doesn't exist and I've dreamt it!

Chocolatepeanuts the door is pretty knackered and needs changing so don't want to just change the lock.
