It's all gone quiet - waiting for exchange

We are in a short chain and we are moving into rented. The chain is complete. Last update i had was around 20-June. Our buyer's buyers searches are done and mortgage offer in place. We were waiting for our buyer's searches to finish (our buyer's mortgage offer is ready too)
It's all gone quiet since. My EA and solicitor are yet to return my calls.

Does it go quiet around this stage usually?

Following search results there is quite likely some enquiries that the buyer's solicitor will raise with your solicitor that need responses. Sometimes your solicitor will be in a position to answer them without contacting you, depending on what they are they may forward them to you to reply to.

Does your buyer have a related sale?

Is your buyer having a survey?

Our solicitor hasn't heard back from our buyer's solicitor since June 17th when they were sent the responses to the last set of queries. The local searches are back on Friday so expecting some more queries after that.
Buyer would like to complete by the end of July but we haven't even got a date for exchange yet. We are also going to a rental but were hoping to exchange before signing any rental agreements.

It's just us and out FTB and we accepted the offer before Easter, it's Such a slow process and the buyer's solicitor seems to be the main reason for this.

Have you sorted out a rental place yet?

No, just waiting for the exchange before signing rental agreements.
